Welcome
Welcome to our 1st TEDx Meet-Up!
What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called
TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together
to share a TED-like experience. Our event is call TEDxRinglingCollege, where
x=independently organized TED event. At our TEDxRinglingCollege event, TEDTalks
video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and
connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but
individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized. For more information visit http://www.ted.com/tedx.
What is a Meet-Up?
A meet-up as originally defined, is an online social networking portal that facilitates offline group meetings in various localities around the world.
TEDxRinglingCollege Student Meet-Up:
TEDx Meet-Up as we define it here is an offline event that allows participants to find and join other individuals unified by a common interest, such as politics, books, games, movies, health, pets, careers or hobbies – and share their ideas. Participants can go online in advance of our February 6th Official TEDxRinglingCollege Student Meet-up
event and begin to determine what topic they want to meet about. In other words bring their online conversation > offline to the group.
This TEDxRinglingCollege Student Meet-Up website will help launch the event and allow participants to arrange their ideas by categories, such as technology, entertainment, design, business, science, or global issues.
